CHALLENGE

Redesign a dollar store item’s packaging for a higher end market.I chose a solar powered rock light product that was in a common blister pack.

SOLUTION

Inspired by greenhouses, I designed this packaging shape from scratch, imagining it as a sculptural piece in a high end boutique. 

RESULTS

For an eco-conscious product such as a solar rock light, it is best to integrate sustainability into its packaging, so the material is made of matte FSC certified paperboard, printed with plant-based inks, and compostable clear PLA for the packaging windows.
